Who you would be seeing

Chiropractic at Marrickville is delivered by Kim Le, who holds a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science and a Master of Chiropractic Science. Kim has worked across sports teams, gyms and multidisciplinary allied health clinics, and has a particular interest in leg-length discrepancy, visceral manipulation and whole-body movement assessment.

He is not the only practitioner on site. Cameron Hemmert (physiotherapist) and Ray Nguyen (podiatrist) both work from Marrickville, and Mel Nguyen manages the clinic and its bookings. Sharing one site means that if an assessment points somewhere other than chiropractic, you can be moved across without a referral or a second waiting list.

For what chiropractic treatment involves — the assessment, the techniques used and how long a course of care usually takes — see our guide to chiropractic care.

Fees, rebates and referrals

  • No referral needed. Chiropractic is direct-access in Australia, so you can book straight in.
  • HICAPS on site. Your private health rebate is processed at the appointment and you pay only the gap. What you get back depends on your fund, your level of extras and how much of your annual limit is left.
  • Medicare. Covered only under a GP-arranged Chronic Disease Management plan, which allows up to five allied health visits per calendar year across all providers.
  • DVA and workers compensation. Both accepted, and both do require a referral — bring it with you.
  • Payment. Cash, card, EFTPOS and HICAPS.

Current appointment lengths and fees are shown in the booking calendar before you confirm, so you can see what an initial visit costs without having to ring and ask.
